Would Sony honestly expect you to charge your controllers on your computer or other USB ports (I&#039;ve actually been charging mine on my cable box, as the PS3s USB ports aren&#039;t &quot;hot&quot; when turned off)?  Despite Sony&#039;s litany of idiotic decisions, I doubt even they are that dumb.

Unless, of course, they&#039;re changing the controllers to have a &quot;standard&quot; battery pack (which you would fill with your own batteries).  This change wasn&#039;t mentioned in the recent coverage of the Dual Shock 3, but maybe those controllers weren&#039;t finalized.  Guess we&#039;ll know soon enough.</description>
