Geoff,

It's his constant marginalization of any kind of critical look at games (which has now grown to include his own game, which is sort of out of bounds if you want to maintain integrity), and resorting to personal insults when he's not completely happy with what someone has to say about it. His summation of her comments isn't really fair either, as she spent about a good 7 minutes talking about the game. She wasn't as vague as he implied.

Also, I've seen him speak in public three times now. He's not the best person to be calling someone else on camera narcoleptic. Nor would I be, as I sound like someone stabbed me with some horse tranquilizers on our podcast.

Aegies,

Can you clarify exactly what you found so offensive about the PA comments? "Narcoleptic Jedi" isn't perhaps the most clever (or accurate) description of the woman in the hoodie, but I can understand how someone for whom Star Wars was a formative moment might use the reference. And I would agree that the quote they presented isn't a very useful one.

So sure, it's a little dig, but PA is known for its snark. And this is certainly no where near the bile that PA reserves for things that it really dislikes (e.g., that columnist from a few days ago). In general, it seemed pretty inoffensive.
