Nick and Phil, if you drop in, hit me up via email at aegies@eat-sleep-game.com or on aim at aegies so I can set you guys up with posting access, etc. Also, consider now a time for open submissions to write here. This is obviously unpaid, but, you know. Somehow I imagine it might get some page views. For people that aren’t Nick Suttner or Phillip Kollar (or, fuck, I guess any 1up alumni who want somewhere to post), send me a writing sample that’s more news analysis than straight up joytaku snark along with something short about why you want to write about games, and we’ll see what happens.

It sounds like this new group and podcast could be great, it’s just to bad it more or less took the end of 1up to bring it about.
Please, tell us what Ryan Scott is doing. I loved that little guy.
Later today I’ll see what I can put together as far as how to keep track of people, but don’t expect a lot so soon. This is kind of a huge thing in the lives of these people, and while they’re hugely appreciative of all the support, some of them might need more time than others before they’re willing to re-emerge and start talking about future plans.
Is the Rebel FM podcast Nick mentioned going to be available here? Gotta agree with the above poster as well; it sure would be cool if Ryan was on the podcast too.

I must say that I will rally behind any site that give all those guys a shelter. It would be insane if all the guys (and girls) did not produce any more content together. It always have been a precious treasure to the gaming community everything they produce.
For now I’m all over Rebel FM and eatsleepgame, definitely.

This site is amateur and this posting is comical. You want 1up alumni to send writing samples to YOU? Haha who are YOU? And you want 1up alumni to include a short about why they want to write about games? Like I said comical. I’m sure they know they would be better off starting their own site…
Hi nocturnx. I specifically state that I don’t need resumes from 1up alumni. Thanks though, for the sarcasm. There’s definitely not enough of that on the internet. If you don’t like the site, cool. There’s a lot of other stuff out there.
Tropical, there’s no deadline yet, although I can’t give an ETA on when we can let people know, because there’s a lot of submissions. But feel free. As an edit, it would be good if people could paste samples into their emails. Samples I can read on my blackberry on BART get read first by virtue of my being able to do so. And yes, I know I said an attachment before.
