Kinda sucks not being able to have you guys on the itunes feed but on the other hand I would never in a million years been able to download the podcast at over 1MB/s so i guess its a tradeoff.

thanks for recording a podcast everyone, even in such dire circumstances! that’s really awesome of you! i’m sure you guys are all going to go on to great things and we’ll be hearing a lot from you all in future.
A lot of guys are comparing this to 1up Yours and 1up FM, but I actually has more of a slight 1up FM taste while irradiating Brodeosity. Which is good, cause the Brodeo was the best gaming podcast there ever was.
I liked how you focused on few games but provided more depth and many entertaining and informative anecdotes, without worrying about going on a few hilarious tangents now and then, while still keeping a general structure.
Even if it’s your first try i think this was the podcast I’ve enjoyed the most since Jeff left.
I hope you keep something like this going rather than trying to cover a lot of games and just agreeing whether it’s awesome or not and then move to the next one, which is what some of 1up FM felt like.
I had to download the show first thing this a.m., and listened at work. It was great to hear from everyone in person versus reading what I could find in various areas of the internet. Aside from EGM, the Podcasts on 1UP were my main source of gaming information/entertainment. I’m freakin’ psyched to be able to still hear from you all! I have no doubt that things will pan out for you all. Keep it coming when you can, and best of luck!

I’m so glad to hear you guys after the fall…I want the same volume and quality and intellectualism and fun in entertainment media that I came to value from you guys…but wanted so much of the chemistry and collective insight to remain. Hearing Ryan and Matt was moving and inspiring. There is no bitterness and at the same time…your dedication to bringing something substantive is most determined. I work in public radio with some of the most insightful and dedicated music lovers I know…many of them could be doing more remunerative work…or we could push the station that way…but the bottom line is the quality…even if that means only breaking even to bring the quality to you. Your dedication keeps me hopeful SOMEHOW…in SOME FORMAT…you will be helping send more money than I have on quality entertainment AND turning an insightful eye on the creators of the ever emerging artisty of “interactive media.”
Awesome show. It’s so excellent to see everyone carrying on after all the bad news. One question though: Where’s Robert Ashley, Ryan Scott, and Tina? GFW and 1upFM were the best shows, and we’re missing all of them.

I was shocked to hear that the whole podcasting group (almost) was gone after UGO acquired 1up. I recall listening to those guys every night I went to bed for two years. And to find out that Rebel FM was up and running made my day. I streamed lastnite, and am downloading now. Looking forward to more… so get your asses to Mars… I mean, iTunes.

You’re thinking of Super Pang!, Nick. And yes, it did rock. Traveling all over the world, spearing balls and splitting them into smaller ones. I was in fact quite the Super Pang expert as a kid. Mainly because the machine broke for two days, giving free credits. I more or less lived in the arcade for those two days.
Great podcast, looking forward to next weeks. Nice to hear you talking up PC gaming, it has took a bit of a pounding in the last couple of years.

Awesome show guys (& gal) … very impressed at the profressionalism and awesome attitude you all continue to show towards this (nonetheless shitty) event. You’re giving UGO & 1UP (former colleages) a lot of respect in recognizing this as a business decision.
i’ve been through corporate downsizing and usually seen a.) the company handle it shittily and b.) bitterness and hostility towards the employer overwhelm those let go. Though I’m sure you’re all pissed in your various ways, the fact that you’re not outright trashing everyone and everything says a lot about your character.
I’m surprised that you guys could get a podcast out so fast. I really enjoyed listning to it and I would like to thank you for all of your hard work. Good luck to all of you and I will be looking forward to your next podcast
