They, like us writers and podcasters (though they’re damn good at that too, mind you), will not be stopping what they love doing; not by any stretch. All things considered, these are really exciting times for us all, I think far more than we could have imagined. We’re also talking to those guys about how we can work together in whatever we both end up doing, so don’t think you’ve seen the last of us together.

I’ve been a die hard EGM/1Up supporter for the better part of my life and have grown to crave the journalist to reader relationship growing stronger. I believe that for the majority of what has conspired over the last 5 years with the 1up show and all these amazing podcasts have strengthened that bond. You guys are my idols and as long as you cover games I will continue to support it.

Hey guys, I’m glad to hear you’re all doing okay- all things considered. I really dug your first episode of RBL.FM; the underground- this is done in a dudes house- feel was strangely suited to the style of conversation for which the GFW and LAN Party shows were known (the stream of consciousness, no editing, no holding back). So yeah, i didn’t even mind the sound quality the slightest…
That said, I’m sure you wouldn’t mind pimping things out a little more… so I’ll chuck a few bucks your way whenever I can… starting now

Amazing you guys thought of this as an almost involuntary response. The very same night you lost your jobs you were podcasting. Good job. It was always obvious that the best part of your weeks was doing the podcasts, or the show.
I got into your podcasts through GFW radio! I used to frequent IGN exclusively and because of the podcasts I started using 1up.com because I felt like I knew 1up and its staff and therefore when i saw a review I could balance what i knew of the reviewer with my own persoanal opinion. For instance; I know that Nick Suttner is a lover (shanes words) and that Shane is a Sony fanboy(gafs words).
I only picked those 2 because of the obvious differences, but in reality any person that lent their opinion/thought process to any of the podcasts/shows in my opinion added more to the 1up network than any straight up review could ever of done. Balancing somebodies opinion with your own is soo much easier when you have decent idea of what makes that person tick and whatever similarities/dissimilarities you may have with them.
In conclusion. Keep this up! I will be donating to keep the shows going.
I look forward to hearing the thoughts of the newly formed group aswell as hearing the thoughts of game makers /designers who i am sure many of which are fans.

One doesn’t really understand what they have lost untill it really is gone. Upon coming home from a long night and suddenly realising that what your used to having is gone you only realise how lucky you were to have it for as long as we did and for that i say thanks. The entire community at 1up was to everyone who listened or watched or read weekly blogs, editorials, reviews, podcasts, videos and everything else a group of the best friends they never got to meet. I hope only good things for your guys in the future and i know for one you will have my support and that of the gaming comunity at large. We the gaming community shall always be in your debt for the hundreds of hours that you have given us of insightful entertainment, keep us posted and we shall be there to back you every step of the way.

I’ve been listening to the 1Up podcasts for what seems like years. I’ve even listened to most if not all the back catalog as well. Knowing that you guys are still motivated to bringing us entertainment, info, and unique perspectives on this biz is awesome. For me, a huge part of gaming culture died when 1Up/EGM folded, seriously, a moment of silence. But, like a phoenix rising from the ashes (corny, but true), I’m confident that it will be reborn with with you guys at the helm. I’m a poor (very poor) college student with massive student loans, but without you guys I would not be able to get through many of my projects. If you ever open up a store selling shirts or something, I will budget some funds to help you out. I’ll be with you guys every step of the way.

As hard as this week has been on everyone, I’m so glad to see this might have been the best thing that could have happened for all of you. I’ve got the 1UP show OST blasting as I write this and it does hurt to think that right now I’d be watching this weeks episode before I go to work, But as always the idea of having truly unbiased news from individuals who live this life just as we do puts a smile on my face…a smile the likes of a child opening a nintendo 64 on christmas morning. Just thought you guys would like to know that the RebelFM podcast was the 16th most downloaded podcast on the Irish itunes store this week. That’s an incredible achievement for a couple of guys broadcasting out of a kitchen on the other side of the world. We’re only a tiny little country after all.

You seem very desparate to get some money and work from Microsoft. I mean you are making a new site, and what we can see is a Halo 3 background, a comic making fun of the PS3, and so on and so on. Well at least you’re honest now, and show how much of fanboys you are (at least you don’t have to pretend you’re not anymore). I prefer the PS3, but if I see some good things (games, Live) coming from the XBox side I will compliment it. I don’t see how hard that is. Isn’t this competition between the PS3 and XBox a good thing? AS both want to do better than the other, better things are coming to gamers. Seriously how old are you guys. Don’t think it’s pathetic? But of course if this site is ment only for Xboxers then just say so, and no one will have any problems with it (as there are many other sites doing the same, and for PS3 as well).But if this site is meant as a general gaming site, then you started all wrong. Maybe your next show would be a less biased, Complaining on your new podcast, how rediculous Sony was in having so many Sixaxis failing out the box (And by “Failing” losing conection for 3 seconds.
But at the same time staying mum when everyone on the podcast had mentioned 10 minutes beforehand that theyve gone thru 3 to 4 Xbox 360.

I’m not sure if this guy is for real or not, but he’s definitely proving our point. Bias has overrun the gaming community. Do you people want gaming to become respected as a form of entertainment or not?
