I just wanted to say thank you for even mentioning the idea of exploring homosexuality in video gaming, I wish there was more intelligent conversation online regarding that particular topic (but that’s because I identify as “queer,” so maybe I should take up the discussion myself and run with it). It’s really nice to see gamers able to have that kind of deep conversation, as well as the over-head topic of maturity and defining it in our hobby. Thank you for taking what once was 1Up Yours/FM and taking it to the next level; you’ve just made me a listener for life.

I can’t say I believe it has ever happened, but Xbox Live Sex is built into the service. In the standard Video Chat interface, the trigger buttons control the vibration on the controller of the person with whom you are chatting. I believe that the left trigger works the small motor and the right trigger does the heavy motor. Plus, you get video chat at the same time so you can view the unsatisfied look on your partner’s face as a result of your gleeful button mashing (like in real life).

good luck with everything, I’m not going to lie I listened to many of 1up podcasts specifically because you were on there and because of shane, but I’ve grown to like everyone else too. I found that our game tastes were “most alike” and I’ll miss you from the main show, I hope you can do the game club one because I love the in depth you guys get on it.

Has anyone seen this fan made Half-Life 2 movie? Its actually quite good considering the budget. There isn’t much of a story so anyone who does not know the HL2 storyline would be confused, but I enjoyed it for the youtube bit it was. They make good use of models, and the clips from the upcoming part 2 make it look like it may be worth keeping up with. http://kotaku.com/5152938/half+life-2-the-short-movie

Anthony, I saw MDB in like 2003 with a buddy of mine up at Whistler. I hadn’t ever heard of them before (the band I was up there for was Against Me!) but I was pleasantly surprised by them. They were a very haunting sound and I even bought their CD. Even rocked a MDB trucker hat for a year or so afterward. I know how “douchey” of me.

Well thanks for the faithfulness in making the podcast and I hope you have a great week. Oh, and one more thing. Is PAX this year only going to be on the east coast? I missed the crew last year and would love to attend a live podcast of yours (like 1up Yours I mean Listen up.

As for the replacement, can you guys please get Patrick Klepek back on as Nick’s temporary replacement? Or how about Ben Fritz, formerly of Variety’s gaming blog?

And as Leigh Alexander would be sure to tell you, there are games that tackle sexuality, but they’re rarely in the mainstream. Those conversations, mature (in the case of Persona 4) or not (H-games and dating sims), are taking place.
