Robert Ashley was great, and yes, this is the best episode yet. I laughed so hard when Arthur tried to keep the conversation on the rails whilst Robert and Anthony rambled about chimp maulings, facial reconstruction and disloyal cats.
Well done guys, just make sure that when you get solid work again you keep Rebel FM going – my Thursday’s are now so much more enjoyable.

I really like the show with all of game talk ect but this was far and away my favorite episode.
This podcast was great guys. More Robert Ashley, more off topic, more just random discussion. I honestly prefer this to the micro-analysis when you try to stay on a single topic.

Easily the greatest podcast I have ever heard. Enough game content to be relevant with enough incredible banter to make it really enjoyable.
I get the feeling Phil felt awkward as he was continually trying to get back on topic, but don’t worry about it man, it was GREAT!

This was the single greatest episode of Rebel FM ever recorded. The constant digressions were amazingly funny. Very very good work.
This was HILARIOUS. I understand the value of staying on-top, but this was way too funny to pass up. I’m still only about half-way through, but by far by favourite part has to have been the ‘gay’ Everquest comment. I was listening to it at 3 in the morning, and I’m pretty sure I didn’t muffle my laughter enough to avoid waking up my parents. Good work!

Best podcast I’ve listened to in a long time.
I loved this episode. Arthur just needs to stop acting like he knows what everyone wants to listen to. We obviously love having Robert Ashley on and him just going off and talking about non-topic stuff. That’s why CGW/GWF had such a big, serious following. Who cares if you don’t talk about your predictions for 09 and stay on topic, we’re okay with that. He just needs to stop acting like he’s controlling the whole podcast.
Bob Ashley is a force of nature, good to hear him on the podcast again. I can understand that Arthur and Phil were concious of the off topic, but tbh with the way shit is going down universally for us all, it’s no bad thing to have someone on who can make you laugh out loud with his observations. As a regular 4th chair he’d be a great addition, though obviously the man has other obligations. Also chin up anthony, you seemed a little down.
Fabulous podcast. Phil brings another one back to the Lich King. I knew Chuf was coming back to WoW! What server do you guys play on? On a separate note, Civ IV stories rock! Keep ‘em up, and try out some scenarios.

Best episode yet, and obviously the free-form structure of gaming, chimp slaughter as well as Robert Ashley’s goofball energy helped make it so. Good to hear you’re looking into XNA/PSN/Wiiware/Indie pc titles, as there isn’t a lot of coverage of them in any podcast, even if Nick has bad taste in them.
And I must say, as much as I love hearing Dr. Max Chill on podcasts, I wish he at least make his anecdotes tie into gaming/or the topic at a little more often and not always try to lead the discuss off on a tangent when he gets the chance.

I went out of my way to download the podcast because it made the front page of my Digg. Pretty good, but the overall sound levels killed my ears.
This was absoloutely awesome, Robert Ashleys description of God of War thoroughly kicked ass – the whole episode was funny.
It might not have been informative but this is the shit I’ve been missing, good stuff to listen to while just cleaning the house or something, I had to stop to laugh so many times.

I personally really enjoyed Robert Ashley and his awesome, off-topic stories. I generally like Arthur but his I found myself becoming frustrated when he would try to keep Max Chillius from rambling and am grateful that he was never successful.
As always; a great podcast, I hope that Robert Ashley doesn’t get blackballed from RFM.
Don’t know why Arthur was so strict on keeping the show solely on games. This turned out to be the best show recorded so far. After GFW/Lan Party went away I was beginning to think Giant Bombcast would be my only source of gaming news and comedy all mixed into some sugary goodness. This helped show that you guys could be funny AND interesting to listen talk about games. If anything, I think that’s a major plus and something too many podcasts struggle to do.
I dont think it’s hard to see that this is, by consensus, easily your best and most popular episode. I mean, look at your comments box, your diggs, Robert Ashley is truly a blessing, and the more off topic the better. If you can wrangle him in more often I’ll come running. Easily the best podcast since the demise of GFW
Man that cat discussion really hit home. I recently adopted two sweet cats, but one had this odd habit of waking me up by licking and then biting my fingers. After a week or so of this, the second one has begun to do this as well. I am not joking. 48 hours after dying? I’d be lucky to get 48 minutes.
Also, I am getting weird looks on the bus because you all having me laughing out loud so often. Sometimes I wish the bus rides were longer so I can keep listening and not have to go to class/work. Great job guys!
