  2. Helen C says:

    “Who didn’t sit around playing a ton of Counter-Strike with friends?”

    Me. ;_;

  3. Adrian says:

    Oh Arthur, I know exactly how you feel in regards to the internet’s reaction to Diablo 3. It’s the same way I felt about the reaction to ME3…. well actually I still feel that way.

  4. fulis says:

    Arthur is spot on about CS, it’s not really for anyone. I’m a long time CS 1.6 player and I have no reason to play CS:GO because it’s not mechanically better and at the same time it’s not different enough to attract new players. Just look at the stats, right now the numbers are 1.6 > CS:S > CS:GO

    They key word is halfhearted. What they should’ve done was make a proper sequel like Street Fighter IV or StarCraft II, not outsource it to some partner who honestly don’t know what they’re doing. I mean, it started as a project to put CS on current consoles and then just grew, so it seems directionless. What they also should do is start supporting 1.6 again, the god damn server browser has been hacked for years.

  5. Kyle says:

    A comment about what Arthur said, that there is not a server browser in CS:GO. There definitely is one in the game; I used it a couple of days ago and it is nearly identical to CS:S.

    Also, I am loving CS:GO. I played both 1.6 and CS:S, more CS:S as of recently, and enjoyed both of those games. CS:GO has some differences but I guess I am just never really caring about them, and is definitely not getting in the way of me playing. The graphics look great and all of the guns sound so powerful. Counter Strike is becoming my go to game for FPS, alongside TF2, and I finding myself getting more accustomed to that particular style of play.

    My only complaint is the lag and glitch issues that occur when alt-tabbing or shift-tabbing, as Arthur mentioned. After coming out of a shift-tab screen, the Steam dashboard, I am not able to select anything in-game. The lag in some matches is outrageous and has led to me getting torn to pieces in a match. Sometimes it is a player with high ping, and others it is just the game’s code.

    Overall, great podcast guys. All really good points about the games, even if I am in disagreement among some; it is always nice to get hear your opinions. Keep up the great work.

  6. CodyH says:

    Just beat Fall of Cybertron and damn that was fun.

  7. Jonah Falcon says:

    A select number of Xbox Live games will be in Windows 8. We all know what’s coming – when the next-gen Xbox comes out, Windows 8 will play Xbox 360 games if you have an Xbox Live Gold account – book it.
