New Podcast is up. And now with more lateness!

Friday, March 30th, 2007

So you can head on over to our Podcasts page now and download our latest podcast shenanigans. This week (or more specifically a few days ago), we talked about Sony’s European launch, games we’ve been playing, and the Shadowrun beta. Check it out, and if you have any questions or comments, then email me at aegies@eat-sleep-game.com, and maybe we’ll read it on the next one. More posts soon (even though it’s a slow news day).

FASA opens up Shadowrun Beta to a thousand new participants every Thursday, starting… today.

Thursday, March 22nd, 2007

In an effort to finish up beta testing and get a better idea for player load and balancing, FASA sent out a thousand additional beta invites today for Shadowrun on the Xbox 360. This will continue every Thursday presumably until the end of April, when the beta will close (and probably just prior to ship date for the title). I’m not sure how beta trials for the PC version are working yet, but hopefully the lucky few who get beta invites will be able to prove themslves against PC players before the game ships (and before Microsoft realizes that no one is going to pay for an online servive on the PC). How do I know? Well, aside from the announcement on the official Shadowrun forums, one of the members of this site may have gotten a present in their email today. We’ll talk more about specifics when we can, but in the meantime, we’ll keep you posted on anything we are allowed to talk about.
