LucasArts Making First Internal Hand-held Title

Friday, March 2nd, 2007

The game, based off the Clone Wars cartoons, will be headed by ex-EA employee Feargus Carroll. You might have seen his name in the credits for Battlefield: Modern Combat. There is not really a whole lot more pertinent information available at this time. I would be willing to be though that like previous LucasArts games it will release on both PSP and DS. Let’s hope that they don’t screw this one up as bad as the last hand-held title. They already have an awesome art style to base the game on, so at least they got that going for them. But, we also know that LucasArts can make some of the best and worst titles you will ever play.

PSP Woes

Saturday, February 10th, 2007

So I traded in a PSP with a dead pixel the other day for a brand new one and straight out of the box the PSP has at least 5 stuck pixels, on various colors.  I have been reading the interwebs and it seems like this is an incredibly common occurence.  At first I would have called it a phenomenon but phenonmenon would imply it is rare.  I think this is more of a plague.  It makes me die a little inside each time I see the beautiful screen displaying awesome handheld games with a red square on someone’s face.  Although I often do end up purchasing SCEA hardware I have never once had one that did not swiftly develop problems.  Am I alone amongst our readers in PSP pixel woes?

I have tried some pixel fixers but they do not seem to work.  I really do not notice it too much while playing games but I find it irritating nonetheless that something does not work perfectly straight out of the box.  It’s like a manufacturer drop kicks every other PSP before they box it.
